Last updated: 13 May 2026. This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies (together, “cookies”) on detoxificationty.world in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the Danish Data Protection Act (databeskyttelsesloven), Directive 2002/58/EC on privacy and electronic communications as implemented in Denmark, the Danish Marketing Practices Act (markedsføringsloven), and the Danish executive order on information duties and consent when storing or accessing information in end-user terminal equipment (commonly referred to as the “Cookie Order” / cookiebekendtgørelsen), in each case as consolidated and amended from time to time.
Supervisory authorities
Questions about personal data arising from cookies may be directed to us or to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, www.datatilsynet.dk. The Danish Consumer Ombudsman (Forbrugerombudsmanden) supervises certain consumer‑facing marketing practices: www.forbrugerombudsmanden.dk.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and scripts that read or write identifiers. Session cookies expire when you close the browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
Strictly necessary cookies and storage
These are required to provide a service you explicitly request (for example, remembering cookie choices, load balancing, security tokens, or form state). Under Danish implementing rules, strictly necessary storage may be used without consent, provided the purpose cannot be achieved as easily otherwise. We still list them here for transparency.
Analytics (optional)
Analytics cookies or SDKs help us understand aggregate traffic (e.g. popular pages). They are only activated if you opt in through the cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time via Change cookie choice in the footer, by clearing site data, or through browser controls.
Marketing (optional)
Marketing cookies may support measurement or remarketing through partners. They are only activated after explicit, granular consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Danish cookie order. We document consent and vendor identity in our processing records.
Google Consent Mode v2
Where Google tags (for example Google Analytics 4 or Google Ads) are installed on this site, optional consent is wired to Google Consent Mode version 2. A small script in the page head sets default denied states for analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization before any Google tag runs, and sets ads_data_redaction and url_passthrough as recommended when advertising storage is not granted. Saving your choices in the cookie banner updates those signals: Analytics maps to analytics_storage; Marketing maps to ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization together. You can reopen the banner via Change cookie choice in the site footer.
For correct behaviour, Google’s own documentation requires the consent default command to execute before loading gtag.js or Google Tag Manager; when you add measurement or ads, place those snippets after js/consent-init.js and ensure the preference script has applied any saved choice on each page load.
Consent, refusal, and withdrawal
On your first visit you will see a banner with equally prominent choices: accept all optional cookies, reject optional cookies, or open granular settings. Pre‑ticked boxes are not used for non‑essential cookies. Consent is logged (where technically possible) with a timestamp and version of this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future, without detriment, beyond what is technically necessary if you refuse certain storage.
Browser controls
You may block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary storage may impair site functions.
Embedded third-party content
Embedded services (e.g. map providers, fonts, or video) may set their own cookies when you interact with them. Their use is governed by the respective third party’s policies; we minimise embeds and load non‑essential embeds only after consent where feasible. Our contact page may show a Google map centred on our street address; loading or using that map can involve Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC and their policies even if you have not yet accepted optional marketing cookies.
Retention
Consent records (if stored server‑side): up to five years from withdrawal or expiry of the last relevant marketing relationship, aligned with limitation periods under Danish law, unless a shorter period applies. Local preference storage in your browser persists until you remove it. Vendor‑specific retention is described in their documentation and limited by our data processing agreements.
Your rights
You have the rights set out in the GDPR regarding personal data processed through cookies (access, erasure, etc.). Contact the controller email above or lodge a complaint with Datatilsynet.
For official guidance on cookies in Denmark (in Danish), see the Danish Data Protection Agency at datatilsynet.dk and the Agency for Digital Government’s overview of tracking technologies at digst.dk.
